In Beijing last year Paola won a bronze medal in the 10m Synchronized Platform with her partner Tatiana Ortiz. Paola has previously taken gold at the Pan American Games and took a silver medal at the Beijing World Cup event to qualify a place at the Games.
Espinosa also represented Mexico at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 making Beijing her second Olympic Games.
