When he's not training, Qin enjoys both basketball and soccer. He's a Lakers fan
At the Beijing Olympics, Kai took home the gold medal in the 3m Synchro with his partner Feng Wang and bronze medal in the 3m Springboard event finishing just behind Alexandre Despatie. He is also current world champion in the 3m Synchro at the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne.
When he's not training, Qin enjoys watching and playing both basketball and soccer. He's a Lakers fan, and he tries to watch games whenever he can. His favorite player is Kobe Bryant, who will be competing for the U.S. basketball team in Beijing. Though Qin is shy in public, he says he's not that way with his friends and enjoys singing karaoke.
